Stream Scenes, Overlay & Twitch Emotes

Opti316 is a UK based Twitch streamer. He plays a variety of game with a focus on racing and multiplayer games.

We were approached by Opti316 to create a new gameplay overlay, animated starting and ending scenes and some new channel emotes representing his streaming community, The Pineapple Club.

Stream Scenes

With Opti316 already having an established brand identity, we wanted to make sure the scenes we created worked alongside his existing branding without deviating too much from his current design aesthetic.

We used his existsing logo design as a basis for the animated scenes, with the direction to add a flashing light background and some animation to make the design more interesting.

We went with a paparazzi-style camera flas in the background, using the brand colours to tie the design together. We also created a 3D version of Opti's existing logo with a spinning animation in the center of the design.

The final designs were composited from 3 seperately rendered WEBM animations and were rendered into high-quality, 1080p MP4 files ready for use in OBS.

Twitch Emotes

Alongside the new overlay and stream scenes, Opti wanted some new Twitch Emotes that represented his community, The Pineapple Club. We started by designing a logo style emote for The Pineapple Club, then designed some character-based emotes for the other requested reactions.

Previously we'd designed emotes in Adobe Photoshop, but this time we went with Illustrator to create sharper designs that would scale down better to the required sizes for Twitch. This also gives us the opportunity to scale up the designs losslessly for merchandising opportunities in future.

We hope you enjoyed this look into our design process for Opti316's new Stream Scenes and Twitch Emotes! If you'd like to get in touch about your own design project, you can Contact Us here!
